The answer is to be able to DO ANYTHING YOU WANT. Anorexia stops you doing from everything you want to. It takes your freedom, your happiness, your trust, everything. These are just some of the answers from young girls who are suffering from an eating disorder, primarily anorexia nervosa. Recognising and acknowledging the fact that anorexia is ruining your life is tough. It's admitting that you need to let go from a part of yourself that you've become feels attached to. It's mourning the person you used to be, because you have now acquired tones of new mental strategies and qualities which compile into creating a better version of you. A new you. A new life. So, you don't want to get "your life back" you want to get "a life back". You are a strong person and deserve to recover from anorexia. Not eating is not a choice. You need to eat to live. No matter if you don't have motivations to get better, and these aren't driving you forward, simply remember that anorexia will try and kill you so you can't live any sort of life. Hang on and give yourself time to decide what you do want! No matter how big or small your motivations are to ditch anorexia, don't let them go! They will get you to the other side! You can do this; it is a long hard battle. But one that you can absolutely achieve.
