Abs: “The truth is you will never be sick enough for your eating disorder. Anorexia is a cruel illness. It will tell you lies, and you will be lulled into a false sense of security of feeling that once you fulfil its wishes, it will be enough. But it never is. You will never feel ready. There will never be a right time to start. So, start now. If you have struggled, you've struggled enough! Anorexia will convince you that you’re not sick enough. You are struggling with eating disorder cognitions, that makes you sick enough! You don't deserve to live with anorexia. Anorexia just like all other eating disorders will tell you that you’re not sick enough to get better. It will always want more from you until there's nothing left to take. Trusting that your life without anorexia is very scary. It will convince you that you’re not worthy of getting better and you deserve to live by its horrible rules and lies. Many people in the media and social media have created the idea that anorexia is about being underweight. It's so frustrating, as it's not!! Physical deformation is simply just one of the symptoms of anorexia. This has glamorised eating disorders and projects the image at anorexia is only serious when your underweight of in hospital. As an individual who had experienced both these things. I can say with no doubt that you will NEVER FEEL SICK ENOUGH! EVER. Anorexia will just create another rule to live by until you're no longer alive. Anorexia wants to kill you. When you're dead, you will be sick enough. You deserve to get better from anorexia no matter what. You've struggled with eating disorder cognitions, you're sick enough! It's not healthy, nor is it normal to feel anxious about eating. It's a necessity. Anorexia is a liar. A thought that popped into my head whilst writing this! And a thought I’ll leave you all with today. "Why would you want to be sick". Being sick makes you unhappy. Being sick makes you vulnerable and weak. Most of all, being sick stops you from living your life. Choose life”
